About Us

Our Group was established in 1919 and is one of the oldest within the East London Scout District.

We have a long tradition of commitment to the youth in our community – promoting the personal development of the Young People we work with is key to us and shapes what we do. We aim to promote the physical, intellectual, social and spiritual well-being of the individual, helping them achieve their full potential.

In Scouting, we believe that young people develop most when they are ‘learning by doing,’ when they are given responsibility, work in teams, take acceptable risks and think for themselves. This belief shapes the programmes that we run in a bid to keep our Young People learning, interacting, developing, experiencing new challenges and most importantly having a great time and lots of fun!
