Skills for Life

One of the original groups within East London and proudly proving Scouting in the boroughs of Tower Hamlets and Hackney, for over 100 years.

Welcome to 5th Tower Hamlets

We pride ourselves on being inclusive for all and providing our young scouters the chance to experience adventure and fun. Being Sea Scouts, we like to spend time on the water and as such, we offer a multitude of water based activities to our group; such as regular kayaking sessions, camps on board a working ship and much more.

We meet on weekday evenings at Our Lady Immaculate Church Hall Limehouse. Although we’re called Scouts, it depends on the age of your child which of the three sections you can join: Beavers (6-8), Cubs (8-10½), Scouts (10½-14). Have a browse through the different sections to find out more…

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
